CARLOS MAHECHA es Director Ejecutivo, Productor y Presentador de “Enfoque Comunitario”, programa de Servicio Público que se transmite por WWHB Azteca América 48 en West Palm Beach. El Sr. Mahecha es un miembro activo de la comunidad hispana del Condado Palm Beach y la Costa del Tesoro. Durante más de 10 años ha participado en diferentes organizaciones y ha ayudado a educar a la comunidad hispana a través de diferentes medios. Fue presentador de “Hablando con la Comunidad” en WPTV Canal 5 durante cuatro años, y participó como personalidad radial en varias emisoras. Además, colabora con sus artículos con La Portada Magazine, los periódicos El Hispano y La Voz y la revista Salud al Día. Miembro activo de la Asociación Nacional de Periodistas Hispanos, comunicador de habla hispana para la emisora NOAA, miembro de la Junta de Directores de la Cámara de Comercio Hispana del Condado Palm Beach, director de eventos de recaudación de fondos para la organización H.A.C.E.R y corresponsal de eventos especiales del sur de Florida para CNN en Español. El Sr. Mahecha recibió un premio Emmy en el año 2004 por su documental “South Florida Today” de WXEL Canal 34 de PBS. Además también produce para LATV Palm Beach, otro canal hispano local. Ha cubierto eventos importantes que abarcan desde el último Debate Presidencial Obama-Romney en la Universidad Lynn de Boca Ratón, el censo de Estados Unidos hasta la primera transmisión de un partido de la Liga Nacional De Football (NFL) en la televisión hispana. Sus invitados al programa “Enfoque Comunitario” incluyen personalidades como Donald Trump, la congresista Loretta Sánchez, Rick Scott, Alex Sink, el congresista Díaz-Balart, Armando Guzmán y Gloria y Emilio Estefan. También produce “Avances Informativos” que se transmiten 5 veces al día de lunes a viernes por WWHB Azteca América 48 y LATV Palm Beach.
